FilmI watch a lot of films, but was never in one until Summer 2003 when I took part in Del Lagrace Volcano’s film on bisexuality that he presented at a conference on bisexuality in Sweden. Zemirah Moffat - "Mirror Mirror"Since then I was (and still am)involved in Zemirah Moffat film on gender and performance, Mirror Mirror (click here for clips and dates and other details or click here for the British Film Institute reference). She filmed myself and a group of other performers from Summer 2004 to Summer 2005. She filmed interviews and performances, so if you came and saw me do something that year, you might have seen her there too. The film was finished in early 2006. It was premiered at the French Institute and is currently making the rounds at festivals. I occasionally travel with the film to do talks and performances. Check out Live! for details of upcoming screenings.
(me - still from "Mirror Mirror ")
Inge Blackman - "Fem"In summer 2005 I was filmed by Inge Blackman for her short film on femme, entitled Fem. Was a really good London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival 2007. See the website and Inge Blackman's myspace for details and for more stills like the one below. Fem is now available on DVD as part of "Here Comes the Girls" short films release, see here for details or you can order on Amazon

Jason Barker - "The Dykes of Hazzard"In the summer of 2005, I was in a film directed by Jason Barker (and written by Sebastian Mary and Jason Barker) along side a number of other fabulously bizarre dykes/trannies/queers entitled "The Dykes of Hazzard". Filmed in one-day, I play a character called 'Daisy Dyke', who gets thoroughly corrupted by the Mean Girl gang who have been blackmailed into kidnapping her by.... well, I won't ruin it or you. It was premiered at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival on April 3rd 2006. Even got mentioned in the London Metro newspaper and everything: "...there are some cracking titles in the London Lesbian And Gay Film Festival's 20th outing. Anyone fancy seeing Rugburn? What about Filthy Gorgeous: The Trannyshack Story? Or perhaps The Dykes Of Hazzard?" (Metro, 29th March 2006). In June 2006, it also got shown at the National Portrait Gallery, if you can believe it! Check out Live for details of future screenings.
(me as Daisy Dyke - still from "The Dykes of Hazzard") We are all working on the sequel "Crouching Beaver, Hidden Drag King". In the mean time you can see this film online here as part of HallonTV episode 3.
20th London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival - TrailerI appear, alongside Zemirah Moffet in the 20th London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival trailer (by Timothy Smith) which was shown infront of all the films at the film festival. The festival ran from the 28th of March to the 12th of April 2006 at the National Film Theatre. You can watch the trailer on Youtube.
(Me and Zem being all "trailer-ey")
Jason Barker - Trans Health MattersI appear in Jason Barker's fillm on the trans people's use of the National Health Service in the UK. It was premiered at the 2006 LGBT NHS conference and was a great success - so much so that it is being distributed currently to every General Practioner in the UK!
SVT - Sex med VictorOk, not really film, but kind of... it was a two camera shoot with lots of takes of my "Gender Violence" performance piece along with an interview on gender/sexuality and "border". Due to air October 10 2007 on SVT.
"The Lovers and Fighters Convention" (formerly: "Pass: The Movie" or "The GenderQueer Playhouse")Working together Mike Wyeld and crew, Transfabulous and the fabulous people who made up The Genderqueer Playhouse show I put together for Transfabulous Festival 2007, we are ready to release a feature length film entitled The Lovers and Fighters Convention, formerly "Pass: The Movie" or "The Genderqueer Playhouse". Based on the cabaret performances we have all been involved in, this is a film that takes on our sexualised gender and otherwise queer little worlds. Filming took place in front of a live studio audience on Saturday the 22nd March 2008. The film will premiere at the 23rd London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival (LLGFF) 2009 on the 3rd of April. In the mean time, you can see the first official trailer for the show here or a trailer for the show we did at Stockholm Europride 2008 here (which features photos taken by Alison Henry at the filming in March). The official film site is up now at www.theloversandfightersconvention.com.

Border F*ckers Show film - Dance with Andjela In 2008, I had the honour of being part of the fabulous "Border F*ckers" show at Transfabulous put together and directed by Jet Moon, with the Queer Beograd Collective. I worked with a wonderful woman named Andjela, who made a video narrative of our stories intertwined which we performed infront of. It really was a unique experience and an amazing show. You can see the video here though sadly you can't see us perform.
HallonTV - Episode 3 In HallonTV, episode 3 you can see an interview with me and the fabulous Bella, host of the show. It was aired on Kanal Lokal in Sweden for a few weeks in 2008 and on the Internet here. It was an absolute blast and I hope to work that fabulous crew again sometime very soon indeed. My interview for Europride 2008 is being aired alongside The Dykes of Hazzard (which you can see in the same episode).
(Being interviewed on HallonTV)
Short Film in Spain I appear in a short film by Del Lagrace Volcano which he presented as part of a talk entitled "Redefining visual pleasures: photography and queer politics" for PornoPunkFeminism conference at Arteluku, San Sebastian, Spain in 2008. More details to follow.
Dyke Hard - Dir. Bitte Andersson I am very proud to have been part of the first in a series of short films shot as "fictional trailers" - in that they are trailers for films that don't exits. Dyke Hard, can be viewed by just clicking the link, and will hopefully see wider distribution soon after its premiere at Stockholm Pride 2010 on the main screens in PridePark in July/August 2010.
Josephine Wilson and Del Lagrace Volcano - "Gendered Violence"I am trying to put together a film version of my dance piece, Gendered Violence, with Del Lagrace Volcano. We have really high hopes for this. The tests we have done look great and Jessica Lauren is helping us out with her fantastic musical fabulousness.
